ITA 2025 Conference Information
The International Tar Association (ITA) 2025 Annual Conference will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from Sunday, October 26th, through Tuesday, October 29th. The Annual Conference will be hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Centraal Station. Conference delegates will enjoy this central downtown location and access to the rail station. Conference registration and hotel reservations are available now through the ITA website. The International Tar Association looks forward to welcoming association members and conference delegates to Amsterdam.
Conference Itinerary and Information:
The 2025 ITA Annual Conference will begin on Sunday, October 26th, with the traditional Sunday Outing. Participating delegates will visit Rijksmuseum in the heart of Amsterdam, home to 8,000 works of Dutch art and history including masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrandt and Van Gogh. Following the museum tour and a lunch stop, the outing will continue with a city centre canal cruise to view the architecture and design of historic Amsterdam.
The Annual Conference Welcome Reception is scheduled for Sunday at 18:30 PM. This Reception is a great opportunity for our Member Companies and Conference Delegates to join together ahead of the two day intensive conference. The Reception will be held in the Eclipse in the DoubleTree. The ITA warmly invites and encourages all conference delegates to attend the reception.
On Monday, October 27th, member companies of the ITA will assemble for the annual General Assembly at 9:00 AM in the London Meeting Room. ITA Membership Committee will then hold a 30-minute informational presentation for Prospective New Members starting at 11:00 AM followed by the Conference Lunch for all conference delegates.
The Annual Conference commences on Monday afternoon at 13:30 PM in the London Meeting Room with a speaker program designed to focus on a variety of industry related topics including Coal Tar, Coal Tar Pitch, Carbon Black, Naphthalene, Coke, Steel, Aluminum and related products. Conference speakers come from diverse backgrounds providing expert insight and content relative to the past, current and future markets. The ITA encourages questions and participation from the audience to create a dialogue with our invited speakers.
On Monday evening, the ITA will host the Conference Dinner for all delegates and spouses to enjoy. As our annual conference moves around the globe each year, the Conference Dinner typically captures the uniqueness of the conference city, providing a very memorable experience.
The Annual Conference resumes on Tuesday, October 28th with the continuation of the speaker program on industry related topics from 8:30 AM in the London Meeting Room. The Conference session concludes with a mid-day Conference Lunch.
By design, the ITA keeps Tuesday afternoon unscheduled to allow our Members and Delegates to arrange meetings for further networking opportunities.

Spouses’ Program
In addition to joining the ITA social program (Sunday Outing, Welcome Reception, Conference Dinner and the Tuesday Conference lunch), registered spouses will enjoy an exciting Monday beyond Amsterdam including Zaanse Schans (historic windmills), the picturesque fishing village of Volendem and cheese tasting at the Henry Willig Katwoude Farm outside Volendem. The Monday tour will depart from the DoubleTree Hotal at 9:00 am and return by 3:30 pm. The tour will include lunch at a local restaurant in Volendem Harbor.
